This is a group for showing off your 3D printed art work. Doesn't matter if you printed it on your Reprap, had a friend print it, or used a fabrication service such as Shapeways. Show the world this Revolutionary fabricating tool.

:bulletblack::bulletwhite::bulletblack: Keep it clean! nothing rated mature please. If it needs a mature tag/lable then please do not submit it.

All Submissions
:bulletred: Submit to proper folders! Misc if unsure.
:bulletred: 3D renders or objects, must be an item READY for printing, and must go into the 3D render folder.
:bulletred: All submissions which are prints of things from thingiverse please place there.
:bulletred: Please only submit a few works at a time.
:bulletgreen: Post-processing of a photo is okay to make it look nice, but don't over do it.

Submissions to Featured
:bulletred: Items will be chosen to be copied to the feature folder by admin.
:bulletred: Be mindful of photography. We don't have the benefit of seeing your models in person, so make your photos count! This will help your item to be picked in the feature folder. Ingenuity, detail, and quality are also items we look for when choosing Features.

Deviations
:bulletgreen: Please in your deviation descriptions, tell where or what machine the item is printed and what material.

Lets get to know each other! Prompt number one:

Do you have your own printer? what kind and type? do you love it or does it exist to torment you?

Do you use a professional company like shapeways or sculpteo to print your items? Do they make it worth while or do you long for the day to print with your own machine?

A question for the Professional 3d printer... has anyone experience generating a file from 'MX' civil engineering package. My employer wants to see if he can generate a landscape for a new (complex) road junction. typically this prog generates 'surfaces' rather than 'solids' but it definitely has the abilty to generate a print-comptatible filetype.

Hiiiiii everyone,

I am an intern at My Mini Factory and I'm working on the Scan The World project, which aims to scan every sculpture ever created and ensure that they are downloadable and accessible to everyone. These scans can then be printed by anyone who has a 3D printer, meaning you can have your very own version of a Michelangelo in your living room or any of your favourite artists and sculptors.

But we need your help! There are thousands of sculptures all over the world, some more accessible than others. This is where you come in. To scan a sculpture is easier than you think. We simply need an overall image of the sculpture through a series of photographs. Tips on the types of images we need can be found via this link Scan the World. Once you have submitted your scan and a digital 3D model is created, the printing can begin.

This project has a huge amount of potential and has so many different uses and benefits including; bringing arts to the masses, education and increased exposure for artists. Become a part of this unique project and scan the sculptures in your world.

Check out our website to see what has already been printed. www.myminifactory.com/category…

Good afternoon guys (From England!)

I was just wondering if any of you 3D artists would be interested in a contest? Designing beads, charms etc for jewellery?

Thanks

Hello I am looking for someone to make a 3D print model and upload it to 'thingiverse'
It is a helmet, based on honey lemons from 'big hero 6'
YOU WOULD NOT HAVE TO PRINT IT
I would print it, I just need the model.
It is not for me
But for my Cousin who has a birthday coming up in two months,
She loved the movie and made her own FC (Fan character) called 'Kitsune'
And I really wanted to make the helmet for her, I tried with cardboard, clay, tin foil, and modifying a bike helmet.
They all came out...lackluster.
So I have decided to 3D print.
I currently have 600 points
I know it's not much but I am willing to throw in three commissions as a trade along with the points.
You must prove that you are able to make a 3D model, and have worked with 3D printing before.

Anyway respond if your are interested
here is what the helmet would look like

Hi I was thinking about buying a 3Doodler, it's not really like 3D printing but I was wondering if some of you had tried it. And if yes, is it worth it?
thanks :)
